I have an Epiphone G400 I intend to list on Reverb. How do I ship it?
If I have the original box that the guitar came in, how tight should it be in there? Strings loosened?
Do I need to have a second box outside that one?
How is priority mail for sending a guitar?
Thanks!
Mine just went away with pulling the back cover off
Looks like the RF shielding is hosed. I don't know how similar the heads are to the combos.
I found this link useful : http://www.300guitars.com/articles/tube-amplifier-crackling-noises-what-to-look-for/
Not sure. I've been having similar crackling issues. I need to record it, perhaps with my phone? and email it to tech support. It did go away for awhile but it came back worse. This bums me badly as its been a great amp till this.
Epiphone G400 Pro for sale. This is the 66 Limited Edition with the newest type of coil split Humbucker pickups. Cherry finish and the full size "batwing" pick guard. Plays very well, just don't use it since getting my Epiphone Casino Coupe.
$300 + actual shipping. I'm in northern Wisconsin. I...
I'm finding I don't play my 66 limited edition much since I got my Casino Coupe and fell for the P90 sound.
So perhaps I should try putting P90 pickups in place of the humbuckers.
Minimal budget but all suggestions considered.
Thanks!
I wasn’t able to grok Barre chords until recently (just hit one year of playing at all) so power chords were all I did. Now it depends on what sounds right for a given song.
Noodling my own compositions are pure power chords.
66 Limited Edition g400 Pro: totally stock. Near perfect setup out of the box too.
I might swap out the Humbuckers for P90's someday.
Casino Coupe: took a bit to get the neck relief and intonation right but once done, that was it. Oh, wait, I took off the pick guard.
Ever considered a VHT Special 6 or Special 6 ultra? Excellent sounding handwired tube amps. I have the ultra which adds a higher gain channel and a FX loop as well as a larger, 12" speaker. Only ~$300 on Amazon.
I keep thinking that an eight string (one high and one low) hollow body like my Casino Coupe could be fun. But I'll never have that kind of money to spare.
