    SD JB and 59?

    Is anyone here using an SD JB and/or 59? I'm considering a pickup change in my Goth Explorer while I have it torn down for a refinish. I thought I read somewhere that these pickups aren't the best for mahogany bodies guitars so I want to get some opinions from those that have tried them. Thanks

    I started this because it looked like the body was cracked, the damage turned out to limited to the paint.

    I got a 2002 Goth Explorer in trade a while back and decided to refinish it. Not quite finished but thought I would show it. I sanded it down, used Timbermate Ebony to grain fill, Transtint Red Mahogany and now I'm working on the Tru-oil. 2 coats so far.

    Man I blew it

    Back when I used eBay more, I never bid even amounts, always odd numbers with change above 50 cents, instead of $50 I'd bid $51.83. Seems like there were fewer losses that way.

    New guy in CO, new to me Epiphone

    I just picked up my first Epiphone today, a 2002 Explorer Gothic. I picked it up for about $100 worth of trade. It needs a little work though, some minor wiring work and truss rod adjustment . Hopefully I'll get it sorted out tomorrow.
