It would say I'm a boring guy with a bad back.
I use Levy's strap exclusively. They're all black. I use 3" cotton straps on most of my guitars and 4" neoprene straps on my basses and a couple of heavier guitars. Each one has it's own strap so I have small fortune invested in straps...
Nothing much to report from here other than the fires being mostly contained now and the sky has cleared of the smoke. Between the fire here and the one near Lyons there were 50 buildings destroyed, one death, and three serious injuries. Total acreage burned 9800 acres.
We got a very small amount of rain last night. Barely enough to wet the sidewalk. Today's high is forecast at 96° with roughly a 50/50 chance of rain. It'll be Thursday or Friday before we see this hot streak break.
Yup. TC Bonofide Buffer at the end of my primary signal chain. Another thing we can do to improve improve tonal dynamics is using shorter low capacitance cables. Wilde sells a 12' instruments cable for $30 and I've also found MXR cables in the same price range to be excellent as well.
Just a bit after 6:00 am and we're at 60° w/64% RH. By mid afternoon we'll hit 100° again and the RH will be 1/3 of that. Hoping to get some rain this coming week to cool things down.
The fires are still burning but this was the clearest day we've had since they began earlier this week. Very little smoke in our area. I suspect higher wind velocity and coming more from the north.
Saw that already and watched it a few years ago.
This was a fun experiment but unfortunately with most of the clips they're using a different guitar with Gibson P90s I believe. I believe it's only with the red Special are they swapping pickups in the same guitar.
My preference is...
Welcome to the forum Felipe. I have the very same guitar also a 2008. Let me share with you what I've learned about it.
I've compared these pickups with those in a jam buddies Gibson '56 Gold Top and there is very little difference other than the Epi P90s being a bit more transparent at lower...
Another 100° day with low RH at 18%. Doesn't look like we'll get any rain tonight either and we sure could use some. We won't get a break from this 'til Monday either. Gonna be a scorching hot weekend.
Folks here are staying inside as much as possible. Fortunately the way it's burning the smoke tends to rise above us if only because we're so close. It's worse when I get 5-6 miles east and then to the south where there are two more smaller fires burning near Boulder and Lyons.
So we have...
Thanks but we don't feel unsafe where we are. It would take quite a blaze in the flats area between here and that ridge for there to be any danger here plus we're on a high ridge ourselves. We'll be fine.
That was an era we'll never see again although modern dance ensembles have their own unique attraction. Seems we see a whole lot of it during the concerts of certain recording artists.
