I heard someone on YouTube play a cheap zebra Epiphone humbucker that sounded great. I think it might be the classic alnico one. I was wondering if anyone knew who supplies Epiphone with those pickups. I suspect they might sell a cheaper version without the branding.
Anyone know who the supplier for Epiphone pickups are?
As best I know Epiphone produces it's own pickups. If I'm incorrect on this I'm certain someone else will correct me.

I have two Epi IBG Classics with the open zebra coils. They are hotter than my other IBG LP’s, at least the DCR is higher anyway.
If you like the pickups, the IBG Classic worn LP’s are 450 new and can be had for half that used. You could get one, rob the pickups, and part out the rest.
I think that would be the only way to get them, as I believe that Epi makes their own pups.
