Epi LP Standard

Hey all,

On the epiphone website, in the description of the Epiphone Les Paul Standard, the pickups are described like this...

Neck Pickup Alnico humbuckers
Bridge Pickup Alnico Classic™ humbuckers

Does this mean they are different pickups? What is the difference?

The standards come with Alnico Classics; neck pup is labelled 57CH and bridge is HOTCH. If you are looking for info on Epi's (since their website sometimes has outdated or conflicting information) you can look at the wiki:

Yeah, the people who write the specs cant seem to get their terminology correct. Its all over the place.

57CH = 1957 Classic Humbucker
HOTCH = Hot Classic Humbucker (overwound)
