Hello all,
Hope everyone's doing ok wherever you may be.
I've had a couple Epi's over the years. My first was an Elitist LP Custom. Great guitar with tiny frets and very heavy. I let it go when I got my first Gibson LP - a standard faded in 06 or something.
A couple years ago, I added an Epi Nighthawk Custom - which I still have. Great guitar for the money. Very underrated for what it can do. Would be perfect if not for the crown inlays - I prefer traditional blocks, dots or none.
Yesterday however, I brought home a 2014 MKH LP Custom. To be honest, I'm not much of a metal guy nowadays so I was skeptical. BUT it played, felt fantastic and the sound is very clear so I got it and couldn't be happier.
I don't know what Epi does but all my Epi's could stay in tune way better than my Gibsons (faded, classic).
Anyway, I have a couple observations and questions about the mkh but I'll post a separate thread if I can't find an existing one.
Looking forward to learning from you all!
Cheers!
