Hello everyone,
I hope you are well,

I need your experience and knowledge to identify an Epiphone Sheraton without a serial number.

It seems that it is from the beginning of 1990, but the seller wasn't sure either...
Also, I can't identify the brand of the head mechanism.

Here are some pictures if you want to help me :
(pickups , electronics and pickguard have been changed as you can see)

Thank you so much !

I am no expert. but this is a samick built guitar... the bridge gives that away. based on the headstock and color I'd say 1990's.

the pickguard and the switch ring don't belong to that guitar. the case is an older one (90's-2000's) but that doesn't mean much. easier to separate a guitar from a case than a pickguard from a guitar.

the pickups are at least missing their covers... and are most likely replacements. It looks like a sweet machine to me.

It is an early 90s Samick korean made €pi Sheraton II
probably 1990-1993, that was the time when they had paper stickers for the serial#

from 86-89 the had the '€piphone by Gibson' headstock label
around 93 they got printed serial#s

What Norton & Pete said; except for the missing p/up covers, wrong pickguard, and extraneous poker chip (and, of course, the missing S/N sticker), it is a dead ringer for my '92..

But my buddy's '88 (which was the reason I got mine instead of the purple Tele I was considering) doesn't have the "....By Gibson" logo, Pete. (Though I suppose - and don't tell my wife I admitted this - it is remotely possible that my memory isn't completely perfect, and it's an '89.)

Thanks for everything guys, it seems that this is a 1992, I had confirmation from luthier and other forum !

Now I would like to give it a new look, with new mechanics , new bridge, etc... ahaha, it's a really good guitar 🔥

Yes, it is a really good guitar. So all you need do is put nice gold covers on the p/ups, lose the poker chip, and either remove the pickguard or put on the correct one (see my '92 at left).

be careful - not much will fit.....
The Kluson made especially for those old Samicks is available from Arkansas Music works on Reverb. It's a nice piece, looks way more traditional than the stock one, only around $40.00 too.
I excitedly ordered one without measuring mine (2001) and it don't fit, turns out mine is a standard size B2, I dont mind keeping it in stock though, I'm ordering a Tone pros set next week.
