P90 for G400 pro?

I'm finding I don't play my 66 limited edition much since I got my Casino Coupe and fell for the P90 sound.

So perhaps I should try putting P90 pickups in place of the humbuckers.

Minimal budget but all suggestions considered.

Ah ! Happens all the time.
I have 4 equipped P90 guitars and one humbucker, and it takes me everything not to get that last one converted to the P90 religion.
You should first try to just replace the bridge. Makes for an interesting combo.
GFS Mean90 come up all the time when price/tone ratio is mentionned.
I have a set of Guitar Madness P94s that is really good. They only have a gold version left. IF you don't mind that, get it or I will for my spare parts drawer.

Nice thing about the 1966 reissue is that it has a batwing pick guard, so it's quite possible to route out the body enough for REAL P-90s and then get a new pickguard cut for P-90s and do it right. That's what I'd do if I wanted P-90s in it.

Tonerider Rebel 90. My favourite pickups ever. I have one in the neck position of my G400WB and I'm literally (tonight) about to order another to replace the bridge HB. I've used these in half a dozen guitars so far.

i just took out a 165$ Lindy Fralin PAF in my Precision Guitar Kit 61/SG JR and replaced it with a Duncan Phat Cat Humbucker shaped P90.love it.its staying in there

Im a GFS convert. My surf 90's are killer so if those mean 90's are anything like them they're prolly a good bet.

If you get a chance try these: Old School Nickel Set. Best sounding pickups I've bought as replacements. And you can't beat the price.
