Finally got around to doing this. Recently bought an Epiphone Standard 60s LP. The pickups sounded very similar to the BB2 and 3s. However, late last year/ earlier this year I purchased an Epiphone LP Custom and the pickups sounded very different. It's not just the nuances that are different - you can hear that the Custom's pickups are a completely different type. Not really sure what happened (I like them though). Epiphone's pickups have really come a long way these couple of years.
