I prefer pure nickel strings, but found out Ernie Ball are not long enough for the D and G string because of the tailpiece. Any recommendations on other pure nickel strings that would be long enough?

I use DR Pure Blues on all my electrics. I have Epi Casino, Riviera Custom P93 and ES355 Bonamassa plus other makes. The DR Pure Blues have a really comfortable feel for me and I love the sound of pure nickel (not plated) strings.

I use Pyramid Pure Nickel 10s or 11s.

I've been using them for many years on all my guitars. If you bother to clean them regularly, they last quite long without getting to dull. The d string is long enough to put them on my frequensator riviera having two raps around the post and still some string end to cut. Easily available in Europe. Don't know if this is so anywhere else. It's a german manufacturer. Hope this helps.

Cheers!

I just tried a set of Throbak Pure Nickel Round Core strings on one of my guitars. They sound great, feel great and, when bought by the dozen, aren't very expensive. You could always give them a call and ask about the length of the strings to make certain they'll fit your Riviera.

I love the Pyramid Flats. The chrome nickel flats have round cores and are a joy on my Tele.

Yeah, I been using Pyramid Pure Nickels and other Pyramid strings for years. And I agree that they are a premium string that sound and feel great. They're easily available from online string sellers here in the US. And they're not much more expensive than your regular D'Addario and Ernie Ball Strings.
