Some one gave me an amp and guitar .....

I rode the bus home last Thursday and this lady gave a De Armond guitar and a little Squier amp .



Cleaned up the guitar, restrung it, did a minor intonation, bridge, did a truss rod adjustments and oiled the neck.
Pickup are great sounding , wax potted .... over all, the De Armond plays and sounds great, as good as any guitar that I own.

As for the Squier, it totally workable, you have to have something good to pump into it.
I used a Arion Hot Watt 2 going into a spare Digitech RP-12 that I have as a back up .

DeArmonds are great instruments!
I heard Fender stopped production because they were hurting sales of Fender models.
I used to own this pair and regret selling them very much.

The key ingredient to make that Squier amp to sound good, is to only use the clean amp circuit, not the gain circuit.
