Hello, I recently purchased a ‘98 Rivoli. The pick guard and truss rod cover did not have the Epiphone symbols like yours does. Did you purchase your ‘98 new and has it been modified?
Did not purchase new. I'm thinking it's all original from the late '90s Korean made Epiphones. I have a '99 Epiphone DOT 335 with the "E" on the pickguard.
Do a web search on images of Epi Rivoli basses and you should get a pretty good idea. I restored a '73 Epi Riviera, it did not have a pickguard, I had to make one, from the pictures of that model from that time they had the "E" on the pickguard. The raised Epiphone "E" logo can be purchased on eBay, I'm debating getting one for my Riviera pickguard.
BTW the Rivoli is a great bass, absolutely love it.
