I don't think so. With the tailpiece all the way down, more contact with the body, more string vibration transfer, so the body/neck can do their job and absorb or add to the vibrations. This is my view anyway.
Not sure how you can determine that the string vibration "stops" at the bridge, or...
This is the way that mine are now, which is why the bridge adjustment screws would be hard to get to, if the bridge was in "backwards" as we were discussing. I have the tailpieces set high to reduce the break angle of the strings over the bridge, but I feel that the tone would be better with the...
Ah, nice! Great that yours is setup that way. I might try that wrap around, much less break angle on the string with tail piece all the way down. Thanks for that pic BGood.
It is more about the angle of the screwdriver. With the screws facing “backwards”, the angle of the screwdriver makes it impossible to get the entire tip into the screws. Facing the “correct” way, the pickup will pivot enough to allow a better grip on the screws. Just plain ole physics.:)

Terrific guitar! Congrats

The backwards bridge makes it difficult to get to the adjustment screws.
Changed my order from the EPI Slash LP to a PRS SE Tremonti. I still like my EPIs, but the PRS is a whole other vibe. Great, now I’m collecting PRS too.
I like it alot! The color is actually “black cherry”. Yes, Sweetwater installed the bone nut and they did the plek job. It has great low action, great playability, the 57 pups sound sweet, and it is a beauty too (looks better in person, you can see the flamed maple). Sweetwater even offers other...
I got this from them awhile back. Had it “plek’d” and bone nut upgrade. Sweetwater has a plek machine and they offer other upgrades and custom setups too.

Sweetwater is the absolute best, whether ordering online or going to the store in Ft Wayne. They go to great lengths to insure satisfaction. I have been ordering from them online for many years, always been more than happy with products and service. There is just no other shop that can compare...
I guess that the term "best" is subjective, depending on need/want. And it would be a tough choice between many, many fine EPIs, to even pick a "favorite". I like each EPI that I have, for its own unique sound, none really best or favorite.
So, for me the "best" would be to own one of each...
Me too, just ordered mine (non signature, no case). The guitar is in stock, ready to ship, just waiting for the EPI case which is back-ordered. Will post pics when I get it, hopefully no more than a week to wait. This brings the total to 11 EPIs for me ..... :)
