    EpiphoneTalk P90 club.

Oops! My 2020 Epi LPS. First p90s I have ever played or owned. I love these pickups and the guitar is a lot better than I thought it would be. The fat neck, slab body, excellent workmanship all made glad I got an Epiphone.

    Fretboards......

All my cheaper guitars have great fretboards. But I dial them in when I get a new one. Linseed oil, buff the frets, file any sharp ends, etc.

    NGD: Squier Affinity Telecaster

Yeah, more than one piece of wood on a solid body guitar is not a bad thing. I know a lot of people think it’s an indication of cheaply made instruments. But it’s not necessarily so. We all get brainwashed to degrees by the things we read and see. In the internet age misinformation is rampant.

    Ibanez Semi-Hollow AS73G Guitar

I am glad that the Grote fits all your needs. I have two Ibanez AS models, the 73.and an as80 from 1999. To answer your earlier question about the Ibanez guitars, they are excellent. The two I have are different from each other however. The Korean 80, has a wide but thin neck. Thin front to...

    Epiphone Telecaster Too Ex$pen$ive!!

What the hell is an Epiphone Telecaster? My understanding is that the LP Special is really the equivalent to the Fender or Squier Tele. Having both guitars, I think they are really similar though the necks are not. Nor are the scale lengths.

    LP Special Lightning Bar

I put the stock bridge back on to see if the sitar sound coming from the high e, at the nut would disappear. It did! But in my search for new and better wraparounds, I ordered a Tone Pros, which has a one piece bar, that is asymmetrical on the horizontal axis. It hasn't arrived yet but when it...

    Epiphone History

Very interesting. I had a blue label Riviera in 1972. I bought it used, it had the mini humbucker pickups and was simply a great guitar. I don't recall where it was made, it didn't have a bolt on neck, and had the mop fret markers and the unusual tailpiece. I played in a blues band with some...

    LP Special Lightning Bar

This is my first post here, but I have read many threads here, so I figured I should post my own experience with the Epiphone LP Special TV Yellow, 2020 model. Well, I hadn't bought an epi since 1072, when I scored a 68 Riviera. I wanted a 335, but in the store I was in, there was a beautiful...
