I’d like to see anniversary/Inspired three-pickup Nighthawk and Black Beauty releases.
To ensure that the Nighthawk is realized, I just bought the Nancy Wilson Fanatic (truss cover soon to be replaced.)

Epiphone, with my luck, will release the three pickup version now.

Y’all seen Nancy’s NAMM interview? Captivating. And she pulls no punches- Gibson, € quality control, b-rig, lol.

Love her. Don’t regret it.

Call me.

The part that stuck out to me was that she initially wanted chrome hardware on it. That's a nice "what if" project asking to happen - the "true" fanatic.

I know in the earlier days of Heart, she was an artist endorser of Ovation, and later Adamas guitars for her acoustic parts. With the demise of Ovation, she is playing a lot of different guitars. Interesting comment about the weight of her black Gibson Les Paul.

Hmm indeed!

There was a lot of weeping and gnashing of teeth from a couple guys here the last time they released a James Bay Century back in '17.

CITIES II regs concerning rosewood (I love that auto-correct changed that to "firewood" :laugh2: ) had recently come into play and Epi made a rolling change to the fretboard material to a "basswood composite".

Of course, marketing never got the memo, (or ignored it) and so the wails and moans of false advertisement and fraud came - again from like one or two guys.

It was kinda like the de-contented Slash model during the Pandemic only more people cared about that. Oddly, I don't recall that causing a huge freak out, just mild disappointment.

I saw this on YouTube yesterday and wondered whether they are re-releasing that model or just re-releasing old videos?
Perhaps they might, now that rosewood is back on the menu. Though personally I'd put it out with an Indian Laurel or Brazilian Cherry board - Richlite if I was feeling spicy.

The Masterbilt Century series all have ebony fretboards. My first choice every time.
I know it's rare, protected and expensive now. Helps me realise what a genius Kazuo Yairi was.

Same with the Casino Coupe that I bought in London. The fretboard was listed as Rosewood, but it's not. I printed the Rosewood exceptions for musical instruments in case US Customs challenged me (they didn't). From a consumer perspective, it's confusing and misleading. But I'm OK with it not being RW (see below).

Richlite if I was feeling spicy.
I'm fine with the wood-based composite products. Richlite is on my Martin. Resinator™ is on my Hagstrom.

Same here. I've got rosewood on three of mine, Indian Laurel and Brazilian Cherry (Jatoba) on the others and I like them as they are.

I wouldn't be opposed to a composite material on a fretboard if the guitar checked other boxes for me. I was mainly being snarky towards those who'd kvetch.

So.... remember I was saying how a lot of Epi customs were being sold because of a certain animated show here. One of the 150th year events Epi is doing for promotion here is they've grouped various artists to use Epis to perform various songs. The first one is from that animation (possibly because that show has almost revived the brand and Les Pauls for the younger generation. Pretty cool. Also a big fan of Trident myself anyway.

Kinda hard to miss that Mesa product placement - making the mothership happy.
