I have an Agile LP Jr DC style that I bought around 2005. While it was decently built with good parts, it was very heavy and sounded rather dull as compared to my Epiphone LP Jr.

I've also bought 3 of Rondo's less expensive SX guitars and I've been very happy with them.

How much of that do you think was from the electronics? Was it just acoustically dull?

If it's dead wood, it's just dead wood. It happens.
Drill a few holes & fill em with silver, that'll brighten it up some:rofl:
