From left to right:

1987 MIJ Squier with System 1 trem
2000 MIM Deluxe Powerhouse Stratocaster. USA Alnico pickups. Clapton boost circuit. Best Strat I have ever played.
Relic HSS '64 Stratocaster replica with period correct decals.
1998 MIM Squier Stratocaster Van Halenized. GFS EVH pickup. A great hard rock / heavy metal Strat.
Late model Chinese Squier. Seafoam Green. Bought this solely to mount my Roland GK pickup on it. Never play it as a conventional guitar.

I have one, but I never play it. It's one of the 2005 Squier 51's.

I'd give that 51 a go, much prefer the pot positions & it's quirky looking... Like the look of the pawn shop 70s deluxe too.

It was modeled after the Precision Bass, hence the pickguard that covers the whole thing and the 2 pots. I have a diagram to hotwire it and give it bunches of more tone options. I got about halfway done with it and lost the wire I was using. LOL I have to get around to finishing it, but I need more wire.

I'd buy one of these in a heartbeat, sadly they're only offered in red, blonde and sunburst - no black

A year ago there was a Fender version of the PawnShop 51 MiJ for 475 Euro,
I still could bite my own a$$ for not getting it

Back around 1970 I asked a buddy of mine what he thought the best guitar in the world would be? He said a black Strat with a Telecaster neck. So I spent 40 years wondering about that and this thing magically appeared.

For some reason they couldn't give these away, so the prices dropped and dropped and dropped until they finally hit $60. Then the guitar became a cult classic overnight, I jumped on it at that price. All my friends cracked up saying it was a piece of crap Squier. I said who cares, it's a Strat for $60 and everything can be changed or fixed if needed? The only problem it had was that the electronics were intermittent, they would shut off for no reason. I just resoldered everything and it was fine.

The best way I can describe its sound is Eric Clapton on "Pretending" (Well, I use lots of overdrive like that song). :naughty: Clean it has the standard Strat sound like "Layla."

If you ever find one and/or anyone needs the wiring schematics, here you go. These things are getting hard to find;
