I have a 2015 Epiphone Sheraton II Pro that I have modded that I want to further mod by adding a new bridge. The Babicz Full Contact Tune-o-Matic Bridge and Tailpiece (FCHTOMGD) is the bridge in which I am wanting to buy for it appears to have great features I haven't seen any other bridges do. If I were to purchase this product would it fit the posts in my 2015 Epiphone?

Any Help Is appreciated, thanks

The saddles on that bridge are friggin high. Looks like ¾" from bottom of bridge to top of saddle, if not more !

How much free space have you got under your present bridge ? You'll might need close to ¼" clearance under it, for the Babicz to work.

I have bought a Badass adjustable wraparound I can't use, because of the height of the saddles. Like this one.

You may want to send an email of to Jeff Babicz to find out if they'll work on an Epi. I know Faber sells a different bridge and tail piece to fit metric Epis than the standard Gibson models.

And that bridge and cam system is terrific. I have FCH Bridges on two of my Teles and both my Fender Basses. I won't use one on the Gold Top because that one will have the Faber Steel Bridge but I'm looking at Casino Coupes and may use an FCH bridge on that. Makes set ups and intonation adjustment a breeze.

Thank you very much, I should do that

This could be the greatest thing since sliced bread, but the thing that turns me off is the GIANT logo.

On the other hand, I have no issues with a Bigsby logo.....

Maybe it has something to do with severe etched block letters vs stylized engraving with enamel?

They still make you pay for it.....kind of a waste of cash in that case.

He markets these as "Full Contact" and claims increases in sustain. I don't know if that's true or marketing hype, but you might be giving up some of the advantages of the bridge by passing on the stop bar, as well.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I have to consider that $170 is only $30 less than what I paid for my favorite amp, and $10 more than the aforementioned Bigsby (B5 with Vibramate mount package) that I'd actually be interested in.

Gotta say, the B5 looks way cooler.

You get used to it after awhile and don't even notice it's there. How often do we ever look at the bridge when we play? And from a distance it's seldom even noticeable.

I'll give a shout out to them for their service too.

Jeff Babicz has already sent me one set of replacement cams when a bridge I bought online was missing a set screw from just one and just this week after misplacing the tension springs that mount behind the saddles he emailed me back within 24 hours and mailed out a replacement set via USPS with tracking.

I don't know him personally so I'm no different than any other customer and he never charged me a plug nickel either time. Not even postage. That's pretty incredible service in my book and quite rare these days so it deserves a shout out. :applause:

I can tell you that my bass bridges are both major difference makers tonally with punch and sustain.

Maybe it's a little less so with my Teles as far as sustain goes but Teles aren't exactly known for their sustain. That said I still like their convenience and they do add some snap and punch to those as well.

I haven't used one on a Epi or a Gibson so I can't comment on that.

Before I get started, I'm not attacking you or disputing any perceived value of the Babicz bridge in any iteration. I tend to be blunt, so apologies in advance.

I haven't used one on a Epi or a Gibson so I can't comment on that.
I'm sorry, but that's exactly what we're talking about.

Bold is mine.

Why would I want to "get used to it"? The bridge design is funky and distinctive enough. Why do I need an enormous gaudy logo on a basic looking tailpiece too?
You know what it is, why do this:

when this is a cleaner look?

Think about that question you just asked. Guitar players are obsessed with how their guitars look. Body color, hardware color, knobs, tuners. The industry sells the image more than the sound. Do you think flame maple sounds different than quilted? Does it look different past the fifth row?

I'll certainly join you in that commendation, that's a rare thing indeed.
I just wish they'd tone down the branding.

God how I hate dealing with nitpickers especially on a sunny Saturday morning. But OK. Here goes.

So my experience with four of the them has no value whatsoever? The cam system is the same on each of them. What differs is quite obviously how they mount. If I notice some modest difference in a guitar not known for it's sustain like a Tele common sense might say that it would also do that and possibly more in a guitar like a Les Paul that is known for it's sustain. If my sharing is of no use to you ignore it. I didn't assume that it's of no use to anyone else or I wouldn't have posted what I did.

Once again, it was offered as a general suggestion based on personal experience not personal advice for you alone. If you don't like it that's fine but then you don't even own one to judge it from do you? The logo is less obvious than the photo makes it appear. This may surprise you but others may not feel exactly the same way about it, or other logos including that RAM logo for that matter, as you do. We aren't all just clones of one another.

No, YOU and SOME other guitarists are obsessed with how your guitars look. I and many others are far more concerned with how they sound and how they play. If appearance is number one to you that's fine but let's not go assuming everyone feels just like you do. I offered my opinions based on personal experience with no requirements you or anyone else should accept them for their own. If you don't like the product don't buy it. It's that simple.

If this forum isn't a place where one player can share his personal experience and opinions with others I must have missed reading that in the Rules of Conduct. However, if those are simply your own rules feel free to ignore what I posted whenever it doesn't apply to you.

Seriously? That's the adversarial tone you want to set? I'd hoped by stating that I wasn't attacking you or the product it'd remain somewhat at least somewhat friendly. Everything's gotta be a damn hot button these days...

Regardless, everything below is my opinion, offered freely.
We're not talking about a Tele or Les Paul. OP has a Sheraton II.
I never questioned the bridge's benefits one way or the other. The only knock I have against them is the obnoxiously large billboard on the tailpiece. My only question there was since you admit to not having experience with a Babicz tune-o-matic system why is your opinion of something you don't own somehow more relevant than mine?
Once again, it was offered as a general suggestion based on personal experience not personal advice for you alone.
You quoted me directly and offered your opinion, therefore I responded by elaborating on my position.
If you don't like it that's fine but then you don't even own one to judge it from do you?
No, I don't, but you don't own the exact thing we're talking about either. Neither of us need to own something to have an opinion on how it looks. Nobody does. A picture is usually sufficient to form an opinion on the looks of something.

On some level, I think you might be confusing some functional aspect with my opinion about the aesthetics of the logo on the separate tailpiece. If there wasn't a billboard, I wouldn't care. A small crest or logo set below the surface plane would be more attractive to me.
The logo is less obvious than the photo makes it appear.
Perhaps on a Tele or bass bridge, where it occupies proportionally less real estate, but when it occupies the entire tailpiece... I'm just not a fan.
This may surprise you but others may not feel exactly the same way about it, or other logos including that RAM logo for that matter, as you do. We aren't all just clones of one another.
Think about what you said. You disagree with me so I'm not allowed to express my opinion?
I said
This could be the greatest thing since sliced bread, but the thing that turns me off is the GIANT logo.
emphasis again mine

That's my opinion. The last time I checked, I was still allowed to have one. They haven't banned them yet here.
No, YOU and SOME other guitarists are obsessed with how your guitars look.
I and many others are far more concerned with how they sound and how they play. If appearance is number one to you that's fine but let's not go assuming everyone feels just like you do.
You're joking right? You've never made a guitar decision of any kind based on color or any other aesthetic quality? You'd be perfectly content with all guitars everywhere sharing the same neutral beige color bodies where you couldnt see wood grain and they all had flat finished hardware? You've never changed a pickguard or a knob? You didn't match your Babicz bridges to the rest of your hardware or vice versa? No offense, but I find that hard to believe.
There's a huge industry based solely on the look of one's guitar in case you haven't noticed. This INCLUDES the manufacturers. Just because YOU claim not to "obsess" about it doesn't mean you've never made a choice based on aesthetics, or that that others opinions are invalid. They're just different than yours.
I offered my opinions based on personal experience with no requirements you or anyone else should accept them for their own. If you don't like the product don't buy it. It's that simple.
You quoted me directly, and made some statements in favor of your viewpoint that I disagreed with so I responded in order to clarify my position. To repeat, I have ZERO functional issues with the Babicz system. I just find the GIANT logo on the tailpiece piece unattractive. That again, is my opinion.
If this forum isn't a place where one player can share his personal experience and opinions with others I must have missed reading that in the Rules of Conduct. However, if those are simply your own rules feel free to ignore what I posted whenever it doesn't apply to you.
That's what I did, I shared my opinion, and when you called my opinion into question, I elaborated. I never represented my statements as anything other than opinion.

At this point, there's nothing to be gained in continuing to bicker. I'm offering a truce. You dig the look, I don't. That's all this was ever about. Let's move on shall we?

I'm cool if you are.
