Condolences on your uncle's passing, but that's a terrific treasure that he left you. Good idea to return it to the case. I see that you have some other vintage items as well (records, Zenith radio?). Looks like that room has a lot of stories to tell.
Indeed it dose Davis. Thank you for your kind words. I will be looking under the pots next and post what I find.

It is not 66 because it doesn't have the 66 style Bigsby.
It has the second Epi style headstock so it cannot be any earlier than very late, late 64.

That would appear to be a 65

That's where I looked Pete, but wouldn't a '62 have black pup covers and the original style headstock?

The listing at the bottom of the guitarhq page seemed more likely?
I just got a chance to see this video. So cool. Thank you for posting. I’ll let you know what I find when I look at the pots

There are also two versions of Casinos, referred to as short neck and long neck. You can see here the neck is set more into the body on your (short neck) style.Same scale length though, they just moved everything back.Screenshot_2019-02-13-03-29-21-1.png

McCartney's sunburst Casino has serial number 84075, and according to Gibson's records shipped November 1, 1962.
Lennon's was 328393.

The metal pickup covers are another clue that points to '62 or later. 1961 Casinos had black plastic dogear covers; the metal ones were introduced in 1962.

Nah... You’re all wrong... It’s an ugly piece of junk (very probably a worthless fake)... Send it to me @Ray Ray & I’ll ensure that it never troubles you again :wow:
It's sad to see the Old timers taking advantage of new folks like this. At least offer to pay for shipping!

Hey, I'm a fair guy... I'll even fly over there & shake @Ray Ray's hand, saving him heaps on packaging materials :h5:

Update!
Finally dated her. She’s a 1966!!! Thank you to all for your help. Local shop was able to date the pots as 1966. He was also able to give me an appraisal for insurance purposes. Right now the market on mine in this condition is bringing between $4k - $5.3k. Of course she is not for sale and will be handed down to my son when he’s old enough
