Well, some of you might remember it, I've posted this information some years ago at MLP,
though I think it is worth to get re-posted here @ €piTalk....

Found it in a printed magazine......

Very interesting. I had a blue label Riviera in 1972. I bought it used, it had the mini humbucker pickups and was simply a great guitar. I don't recall where it was made, it didn't have a bolt on neck, and had the mop fret markers and the unusual tailpiece. I played in a blues band with some high school friends, and ran it through my pride and joy Twin Reverb. The only pedal I had then was a beat up Cry Baby my older brother gave me. That guitar had the best tone of anything I have ever played, well with the possible exception of my 2020 epiphone LP Special with p90s. Those are a whole new thing for me. Thanks for posting this one.

The Gibson fanboys don't want to except reality and the reality is No Les Paul and Epiphone No Gibson Les Paul today thats a straight up fact.. also since 2019 when JC Curliegh Restored Epiphone back to where they should have always been epiphone is once again smacking Gibson around just like they did in the good o'l days.. epiphone was never ever meant to be a budget brand in the first place it was Norlin who ruined epiphone when they took over Gibson and it was deliberately done..that ends in 2019 with JC Curliegh he restored epiphone

LOVE these history posts!
The House of Stathopoulo is a great book. I enjoyed it immensely.
At one time I had a 1939 Spartan. What a canon!
Also a Kalamazoo made Casino, as well as several imported versions, and a Joe Pass.

It’s been heartening to read the comments by those now producing Epiphones. Very encouraging
In fact it made me want a current production model (c 2023/4).

Yup. It’s everything I expected it to be, and now my number one!

On the right. The left is 2001 MIK. Also fine!
