Flame neck on Epi Les Paul?

Hi guys, I'm new here. Just found this website.
So, I've been enjoying this 05 Daewon MIC Epi Les Paul Standard for some time, and... it's got a flame neck.
I guess figured mahogany?
Haven't seen a similar one, anyone have a Epi LP with similar neck?

It's a gorgeous looking guitar. Congrats. I'll rely on the expertise of those with even more experience than I have but I have never seen flamed mahogany. Can it be that the neck is actually maple?

Thanks soulman, have did some search on flamed mahogany, but didn't come up with much, but searching figured mahogany came up with a similar looking pattern.
So I guess it's mahogany...or mine's a fake Epi Les Paul with flame neck...haha

I t happens, even if rarely. Don't worry, it's legit and a nice one at that. Those old ones had the best looking tops ever and you got a bonus best looking neck ever too. Keep it.

Interesting. I've never researched it myself so congrats on having a rare bird!
