Here is an interesting guitar that you may or may not have come across. It is a Hagstrom Ultra Max. What makes it different is that it is a Les Paul style body with a long scale 25.5 in neck. I’m sure you will recognize the song that I recorded with it. It is a famous Jeff Beck song I arranged for solo guitar:

Thank you for your kind words about my music. I really am enjoying this guitar. I was a bit up in the air at first with whether or not I’d like the longer scale. But for me it actually is a bit easier to play.

I know exactly how you feel. The finish work on Hagstrom guitars in general is really well done. My personal preference are the gloss finishes (golden eagle and the dark storm). The other finishes that are offered I believe are satin. I prefer the feel of a gloss finished neck.Very good playing! That guitar comes in some remarkable finishes, I need to stop looking at them
