Hey guys,
I want to buy a guitar from Sweetwater.
I have narrowed it down to a Les Paul Custom.
However I don't know if I should buy black, white or koa.
Being black and not believing in Aryan superiority theory, my heart says I should go with black.
What do you all think?
Which color do you think I should choose and which color would you choose and why?
Thanking you,
Siddhu Boy from India.

PS: My middle finger of left hand is blistered and I can't play for the time being. Although I really want to.

Thanks.

Namaste, Vanakkam, Salaam. Welcome to Epi-Talk.

Black is my preferred guitar color . But the Koa is stunning. So I voted for Koa.

Also, the guitar color is just a color, not a political statement.

I didn't know that Sweetwater ships to India.

Thank you Mr.Sharp for your participation.
Yes, I think I will go for the Koa.
No, Sweetwater doesn't ship to India but I thought I would take a vacation to USA once I get my vaccine shot.
Yes I agree that guitars are not political statements but everything you buy says a little about you.
I would really like others to participate as well.
Thanks guys.

It would be a toss up between black and koa for me but probably the koa. Beautiful guitars.

I'm kind of an "old school" traditionalist and therefore the "official" color for an LP Custom in my mind should always be black.

However I also like transparent finishes which would also put Koa in the running had Epi bothered to go with a more interesting grain pattern and finish. Something more like this Taylor. For my tastes the Epi Koa is just too ho hum.

Sorry if this in anyway disappoints you with your choice Siddhu Boy but it's only my opinion while it's your guitar and therefore your choice. You have to be happy with that not me.

I would get a white one with gold hardware and a black pic guard. For no other reason than I like the look. The other two options you listed are nice too, but to me the white one stands out more, but isn't over the top.

A Gold Top every time my friend, preferably a 56' with P90s.
There's a reason why I buy Epiphones and not Gibsons. Much less, vintage Gibsons.
The reason is that I am relatively poor. It's all about price.
This Les Paul Custom seems the best value for your money.

Black shows every finger print. Wood is boring. White and customize it. Add your own knobs and change pick gaurd.

If it’s a Les Paul then the answer is cherry sunburst. Although the new raspberry ice tea is nice over a figured top.
