I tried to fool the system only to make a fool of me. I tried to attach a pic before but it was too large a file.

There is a way to allow certain files on Google Drive for public viewing. However, I don't recommend doing that unless there's nothing personal in your drive at all. Probably better to just shrink the pic or upload to another platform and link.

I googled those pickups and they use neodymium magnets! Interesting stuff

Wow that looks nice! So it's Harley Benton's version of the ESP Eclipse? I like the gold on white - those pickup rings are nice. What did it look like originally (my guess is some kind of black on white scheme?)

A lot of folks compare it to the Eclipse but the cutaway is more pronounced. Thomann makes a model called the SC Custom that looks more like an ESP EC. The difference between this model and the SC Custom is this one comes equipped with house brand active pups and the SC Custom with active Roswells. This model is about $100 less than the other so seeing that I was never going to keep the active electronics, I chose this one. It originally had black hardware.

Modding Harley-Bentons ? Yes, indeed @john eagle ! :cool::cool::cool:

Good and underrated mod platform can give you great instruments - just like Epiphone, by the way !
Those who pretend the contrary don't know what they miss... Tant mieux pour nous ! :D

My 3 Harley Benton projects :

Before : bought (on a local craiglist for peanuts) new-unused from Lefty Guys and Gals who gave up guitar... :io:

A JA60-LH OW and a MS60-LH VW :

After modding - Oh OK, the mods are way more costy than the guitars themselves, but it's here where lies the Fun ! Again, a lesson to the Guys who think stubbornely that "it's not worth !"... Worth what ? :naughty:

The Tempest, The Cyclone, The Tornado :

The Tornado in Dynasonic option :

All of those guitars plays flawlessly and sound great ! Worth the job and expense devoted to them...

Cheers,

That Tornado is hot! I kept my budget down. Bought most of my parts from WD Music. I think the whole project, guitar and all, was a little over 400€.

Yes, I am not surprised by a 400€ amount : I think that I am in the same average cost too. In fact, some parts are used (notably the costy DynaSonic pickups) and this lowers the total cost...

Yes, Epiphone guitars are also good modding platforms - my favorite is the LPS-II LH :

Before - I have two, bought used...

... But only one is operational for now (below), the other awaits its refinish in Daphne Blue + P90s.

I have an Epi bolt-on neck LP Jr. with a Gibson P90 that I got off Ebay a few years ago. Black finish. I replaced the black P90 cover with brushed metal, a brushed metal PG and silver knobs.

No, a dogear P90 and the guitar was not re-routed to accommodate it. It was a promotional guitar for a defunct air carrier named Song. The truss rod cover has the airline logo on it. Strange, I know!

I would post a pic but I'm lost as to how to do that. I have no means of compressing the photo file size.
