You probably have to post this in the Front Desk forum to get a response. Admins don't read every thread.

The size limit here is smaller than other sister sites on Gear Talk. On one of those sites, you can upload 5 images in one comment.
Thank you. I asked a question at Front Desk.

Hello to all and glad to be party of the group. I love Epiphones. I've owned 4 over the years, a Casino and 67 Texan, which I"ve sold and currently own an MIJ Emperor and a Swingster. Hoping to get more information on both but the Emperor for now. Guirtar dating apps dont recognize the serial number so I cant tell when it was made. Head stock says Epiphone by Gibson and sticker on back says made in Japan. It has an orange label seen through the sound hole and a gthree piece neck. Any comments would be welcome.
thanks
Boy, I just looked at the transition year when they changed from Epiphone to Epiphone By Gibson. I wanna say they made the change in 1985 or 86. My PR-750-12-ASB s/n: 84519 was made prior to 84 & going by the ''Brown Lincolnwood'' (Lincolnwood, ILL.) Label, I'm leaning more to 79-82 but I'm on the right forum since someone here will now for sure. But you have one of the Gibson style labels so that will be a trip in itself. Now by ''3-Piece'' you mean ''Headstock'', or Neck. On mine, they matched the ''Wing'' on on the Left, so close to the grain on the Neck, it almost looks like a 2-piece Headstock. You have to look at the bottom in order to see that it's actually has both ears..... One more thing, is the serial number & model printed on the label, or hand written......

'Epiphone by Gibson' on the headstock only was used for a short time around '86-'88
and all of those were made at the korean Samick factory,
they had white paper-stickers for the serial#.

if there is a 'made in Japan' sticker on your guitar, then something is wrong....

we need pics to tell more
Yep, pictures is right. I find it strange that it has a ''Gibson'' Label. As for the serial numbers, my 12 string which I bought in 1984 has the Brown Bordered, Cream Label, which doesn't match the ''Japan'' Labels used, going by this website: guitarinsite.nl. They have the 3 different types of Labels used when Epiphone went overseas to Japan... In fact, I'll be posting pictures of both my Epiphone PR-750-12-ASB & my 1966, 67 or 69 - Epiphone EC30 Madrid (with what looks like a EC100 Seville Neck) No French Heel though but he Neck does look like it's a 3 piece, Mahogany/Maple/Mahogany...?....

The head stock has ears but the neck is made with three pieces and the center piece has opposing grain. The numbers on label are printed, picture of the label if you scroll up towards beginning of post.
