I’m looking at a MIK 335, 1999 model per seller. Looks to be in great shape. Natural finish (my fave), new Grover machines, and hard shell Epi case. It would be a 2 hour drive each way for me to check it out. Price is $250…
Good deal? Worth the time and effort to check it out? What is the group consensus?

Thanks

Thanks everyone. The seller is telling me the weight is “about” ten pounds, does that seem realistic? I want to get an actual weight, that would be heavier than my ‘59 Lemonburst LP…

This project started as a Peerless Korean DOT. I manhandled it into a 330 with a center block. Added Dog Ear Ceramic P-90s I got off eBay for pittance. It Sounded Phenominal! Never changed the Pots to 250k either!
I also had a MIK Casino. It was a Feedback Monster. Sold it, and put this together.
I was diagnosed with the Big C, left me to weak to handle full sized Semi-Hollows any more😞
Build Quality was Great on all my MIK Epi’s!
The ES 339 Pro, and Casino Coupes came out… I jumped on those, MIC construction Great on the Coupe. The finish on the ES 339 was loaded with Solvent Pop and Orange Peel! I wet sanded and buffed that out, now it Rules. Some MODS here and there.
The ES 335s came out later than the DOT. I would have preferred that over the DOT! I thought about it, then I got sick.
It worked out for me! Back in the day MIK was PRIMO!
So take the ride, maybe for the effort, you could try and get $25-$50 taken off?
That’s cheaper than shipping it, Good Luck 🍀

Bummer.
A deal like that would be hard to pass up. Did you see pictures ? That would be the only thing that would put me off ( that and having the $250 cash on hand lol ).
My MIK is a Cherry red , previous owner installed locking tuners. I got that & a hard shell case about 5 miles from home back in 2010 ( seems like only yesterday ) for $450. Very solid guitar with that center block. One thing different on these than my friends who has a newer model , the neck binding is black. His is white and doesn't have the dot markers on the fret board.

The J-200 Artist LTD. Is one of The Best Deals I ever got. Scored from MF when they first got them! Made like a Masterbuilt with the Strip down the back. Book matched as you can get. Gossamer Maple, light passes through it. The bridge started to belly the top out. I installed a Bridge Doctor. Breedlove guitars use the Bridge Dr., I understand?!?!
Took care of that problem, and added a Great Resonance to the guitar.
It’s Light, sings and projects like no other acoustic I’ve ever owned. So much, I added Twin Pickguards to quiet it down a touch.

My Casino Coupe, light and Beautiful as well!!!
I Love Grain, and both have Outstanding patterns!
Two of my Fave Epiphones!!!🎸
