I'll try to connect this in some way to the thread about expensive guitars...

If any of you guys were in the market for an old school hollow body electric with P90s and you were fortunate enough to be able to drop $3k on a guitar, would you get a USA Casino or a Gibson 330?

I guess the same question could be asked about USA Texan or Gibson J-45

The Riviera is by far my fav but that cherry Wilshire with 2 P90 is also calling me.

And Nancy Wilson is a badass, she can have whatever configuration she wants.

On the USA Casino vs 330 issue...it'd be a tough call but I'm thinking 330 for me personally. I prefer the look of the plastic pup covers for the type and I could care less about the Beatles tie in on the Casino. I think the 330 would be more likely to be as I like it out of the box.

I've been trying to stick to the idea of building a collection of things I'd be comfortable keeping long term that check all the boxes for the essentials (or at least what I'd consider a pretty classic baseline): LP, SG, Strat, Tele, 335, Special type, Jr. type w/wraparound, and a decent acoustic. Basically a solid tool kit that'll fit on a 7-guitar stand and an acoustic on the side. I get the feeling the 335 (probably in Iced Tea or whatever that burst is), Wilshire (cherry), Coronet (black), will check 3 of those boxes. That'll just leave the Tele...and since I share a birthday with Jimmy Page I have a plan for that early in 2021.

Seems like it may all be coming together.

In '64, Epi called that a Crestwood Deluxe. A friend had one, great guitar. The Crestwood Custom had three pickups.
