Just joined this group after years on the Strat sites because I just acquired a 2008 Casino VS. don’t know what took me so long to finally pull the trigger on this but I love playing it already.

I just picked up a Casino today. Amazed is all I can say. Picked up at an auction this morning. Very clean so I bought it. Never played one and the neck is amazing. Sounds great. I sit and played it for 2 hours after I got home. I went there to bid on a 68 Gibson Stereo but went a little to high.

Question on this Casino, it is a 7 digit serial number and looking it up, it says its a 92 around the Samick Korean factory, but there is a sticker on the back of the headstock "Made in Japan"

I also remember readiing about Samick ranning a plant in Indonesia as well.

Samick on Wikipedia

It looks like the Samick posting on Wiki is fairly new. Absolutely nothing about manufacturing Epiphones
AND talks about a plant in Tenn. USA.
