So I have a Gibson ES-390 with a broken headstock needing repair. Got a quote from a gifted luthier and I've been mulling over that price. You know, being all hollow-body-P90-less rummaging the classifies, I found a deal I couldn't pass by:
LFdW7NF-Lclp1C9rA7haoP8V4ybcJ4_Ly2hZXhBqm5m_so1pltoEE70qvM0zESYBGFnVKbV0ga2U0fKg2ulW3wFUXecdFiTe-8zF0E6NCQJkYQf-rYsiYgi4tpHJar_5z1GiFG_6xg=w2400

Came with all the Goodies and less than the repair!
So my wife knows I broke the guitar but doesn't know I bought this. I put the Gibson in it's case and put this out on the living room and she still hasn't notice lol. Since this and the Gibson have the same P-90's I thought they would sound the same after I adjusted it the same but it was not at all the case, neither with the modern ones I played. Well I know I won't be able to keep both since i want to fix the Gibson but we'll see when we cross that bridge

Next best color to Natural... I love it! Normally, I would say it needs a black pick guard, but the tortoise works on that....

And the reason all 7 of mine are Natural, the wife can't tell the difference. All she sees is a blonde guitar. I've bought and sold 8 guitars in the last 2 years, no clue.

If the headstock break is pretty clean, there's no hocus pocus gluing it yourself. Many household wood glues (for indoor use), such as Titebond or Casco, and som screw clamps will do the trick. If it's a nasty break, it's of course another matter.

+1 on the Titebond. I prefer Titebond II personally.

First Casino I've seen with the white stinger on the face of the headstock. That's about the most unusual Casino I've ever seen too. Can you reveal what you paid? Did you get the case?

well, the jig is up, she didn't realize until I was holding it that it was a different guitar (since it's full size looks much bigger on me). After much eye rolls and evil eyes I survived. I'm a big fan of the Epiphone Original Designs, I hope the new management of Gibson trying to get back to its roots will also influence the people at Epiphone.

Nice. Maybe the only other guitar I might add to my collection is Casino. But it will be a hard sell to Mrs. Viking if I don't wait a few years...
