I like wood! Natural wood as well as figured stained. Does or has Epiphone ever made a natural back Les Paul? If so what model and any pictures? Thanks!

Thanks for the reply's! I think gold has a place on certain models depending on the color and finish. I actually like the natural back and neck, but don't care for the koa. The wood actually looks somewhat funky to me. But then that's just me.

Nope, not just you. I love them in pictures but when I see them in the flesh they just seem odd to me. I think the colour just doesn't seem natural. There are so many beautiful guitars I'm OK with not liking one or two...

All Epie's have some pigment but my blond Casino, wine red Blues hawk and my blond Night Hawk show a very respectable gloss lacquer to them.
It's surprising but I've stripped the black paint off of my Epi LP Junior and that god awful red stain off my LP Studio and the wood grains on both are gorgeous!! Don't know why the want to gunk up such beautiful woods?

Too much bling! Koa is a beautiful wood that deservers to be respected not: with glitzy gold and gloss finish.
Tongue oil finish and chrome would
be a far better choice.. Simple and
natural..Know any guitar manufacturers that would do that??
I don't.. Ibanez come closest
