I have no idea why I didn't do this sooner. The top looks so much better this way.

Looks great. I took mine off a few months ago. The tones will be set free but you've killed the sustain. That's where it is kept. No more minute long, Gary Moore style notes. I thought everyone knew that.

Does look good off in this case. I think with a nice grain pattern, better off than on. Sometimes I like it though, depends.

Nice improvement, never cover a nice top, that's what I tell the girlz anyway:naughty:
Now you gotta fix that hole or all the mojo will leak out!!

Thanks everyone. What's the best way to fill the holes? I need to keep what's left of the tones from oozing out.

Looks good! Leaky mojo bad!

You know, with that top color, the ambers dont look half bad on this guitar.

I am not a fan of Ambers but I think you are right. Not too shabby-looking on that top.

I have always liked the look of no pickguard (except for the '56s. For some reason the pickguard just fits). Nice job.

Yep, I agree, the ambers really look good here.

Not sure I would worry about the holes though. You could put the screws back as mentioned. And at some point you might want the guard back on.
