After 30+ years as a mobile heavy equipment mechanic / fabricator, guitar work is a cake walk.

Yes I do.

When I started playing my first guitar was a Yamaha SG style. My first "good" guitar was a '76 Les Paul Standard (bought for $400 in 1986). I played mainly Les Pauls for the first ten years, then slowly drifted over to Strats. I haven't owned a Les Paul at all for about 10 years now. Then I just inherited this Slash LP a couple of weeks ago, and it's like starting over. I had forgotten how good a really nice Les Paul can be, and make no mistake, this one is really nice.

My Strats are still freakin great though.

P.S. I also inherited that Gretsch along with the LP. I'm diggin' it too.
