I started out really playing on Strats, so I still have some: Fender Road Worn 50s strat on black/ maple fretboard; Squier CV 60s Strat in Candy Apple Red, rosewood fretboard; Squier CV 60s Strat LPB/ Matching Headstock, rosewood fretboard; 1980/81 Fender Strat, black with rosewood fretboard. I play my hollow bodies or semi hollows a lot more than the Strats by now, but I still like a good Strat. Mine are all SSS though, very traditional
I love having a Bill Lawrence L-250 or a Dragonfire Duo Rail in the neck position of a S, S, H, Super Strat and either a Dimarzio Fast Track 2 or GFS Lil' Killer (15k ohms) in the middle with either a Dimarzio Evolution, Dimarzio X2N, Bill Lawence XL-500 or my favorite, the Carvin M22SD, which is no longer made.
Those 1980'S HM Super Strats can go toe to toe with any Super Strats.
They were available only for 2020. I had an 89 and the 2020 was more to my liking. I have an OFR made in Germany for it, but the special is doing just fine ATM.Those 1980'S HM Super Strats can go toe to toe with any Super Strats.
Is Fender making them anymore, I heard they were before the Pandemic .
The CoolZ SSS for the 'traditional' sounds
The FGN Boundary-HH for the modern sounds
The Stagg HSS for all type of sounds
I don't think I need any other - they fit my needs
You're about to need an extension to the house.I was wrong, I needed one more.....
the NeoClassic double P90 for the 'special' sounds
so there are 4 Strat-shaped guitars in my herd now
