I can send you directions to The Crossroads, about 40 miles from my house. I hear deals can be made there increasing one’s playing skills.
Thanks but I’m way up north in Canada,

I recently began taking electric guitar lessons, with an eye squarely on blues/gospel (like the electric Sister Rosetta Tharpe stuff). My instructor introduced me to basic 12-bar blues structure, but mostly he listened to the artists I listened to (Lightning Hopkins, Mississippi Fred McDowell, etc) and fed me bits of their music so that I could learn directly what they were playing.

I guess what I'm saying is that a good instructor -- someone who can pay attention to your interests and needs -- is invaluable. I am following this thread, however, in case there are any online leads!

Justin Guitar have a lot of YouTube lessons, including a few blues ones:
https://www.justinguitar.com/

Truefire is not free, but they have a lot of blues lessons:
https://truefire.com/
One of my favourite instructors at Trufire is Corey Congilio, but there are so many other great ones.
They also have personalized 1 on 1 lessons. Not cheap, but cheaper going to a teacher.

But if you are just beginning to learn, Id recommend a few lessons with a guitar teacher.
