The Muse has the asymmetrical neck. Supposedly more like a C on top and a D on the bottom.

If anyone has experience with one, I'd be interested in opinions. I haven't been able to find one near me to try out.
Muse has a Custom C and the contoured back on upper bout . Modern has the Assymmetrical Neck .

Epi calls the Muse neck “modern C” but it sounds like my Modern (asymmetrical slim taper) feels. Very nice, but there is definitely less in hand from nut to 12th fret or so than either the Special/Jr/59 profile (“50s Vintage.”)

I hear the Slash necks are pretty full. Those are connected to some nice guitars.

Edit: I can’t believe it took me over 10 minutes to post this lol @syco have you held both Muse and Modern? I haven’t, wondering how they differ.

I have a slightly different experience with my Epi ES-339. The neck feels slimmer(0.84''/21.43mm) than the rounded c necks on my Gibson LP(0.84''/21.43mm) and SG(0.85''/21.59mm) tributes (slightly less shoulder).
I’ve not measured but my Epi Jr (50s Vintage) feels a little chunkier than my Gibson Special (50s Vintage.)

There are a few Epis with thick necks, but not much below 8lbs. The 59 LPs have a thick neck, but you're doing great if you find one under 9lbs, nevermind 8. I believe the new Korina 58 Explorers and Vs have a big neck too. I doubt you'll find an Explorer under 8lbs, but I can't imagine that the Vs are heavy.
Can confirm the neck on the 59 is thiccccccckkkkkkkkkkk

Gibson neck always differ from guitar to guitar. The necks on my LP, SG tributes and ES-335 all state they have a rounded c profile, but they all feel quite different.
Just look at the neck sizes on a website like wildwood guitars and you can see the variance in necks within the same model range. I've seen 60's slimtaper necks go from 0.78 up to 0.87.
I think the general shape among the neck might have the same profile but the thickness can be all over the place

I have the " Modern " . Friend of mines wife has " Muse " she likes it for the slightly "thinner " lower fret access . IMHO .... only used a few times .... does seem a bit thinner than Slim Taper C .

Are those vintage guitars or modern production? I know that vintage Gibsons varied from guitar to the guitar depending on who was carving the neck. Neck sizes are all over the place.

Those are all modern guitars. The LP BFG is the oldest being a 2007 model.
To get an idea of how much difference there is from guitar to guitar you can take a look at the wildwood guitars website and compareneck thickness from guitars of the same model range

Man it seems like so many Epiphones have that slim taper neck. Are there that many people out there that love this neck? Seems like most people don’t. I had no idea about guitars when I got mine, but I’ve come to realize that I dislike the neck on my ‘17 custom pro. But I’m suck with it due to money issues. Makes me crazy because I would so much rather have a medium C neck. The taper neck almost seems like with it being so flat across the bottom my small hands have issues. Almost too wide.

I agree. I'm not a fan of the current Slim-D. They really flattened the back. Slim-D used to be softer shoulders and a little rounder. Halfway to C. Now it's a serious/y flat D. I think the break point was 2019 when they came out with new lines.

There have always been ridiculous Taper Ds out there. I've had a 2012 LP 60s Tribute Plus that was flat as a ruler and a 2011 Epiphone '61 SG Reissue that was spaghetti thin and wiggly.

While the '59 Standard is thick, it is not as thick as the Special. I was shocked at how thick the Special turned out to be. I am forever hearing about "baseball bat" thick necks. I bought a Fender American Original 50's Telecaster when they first came out because everyone was talking about how thick the neck was but to be honest, I still think the Special is even thicker and I love it. I have a '60s Tele as well and the neck on that guitar is more of a classic C shape and while I absolutely love the guitar (with double binding it is gorgeous), I so much more enjoy a neck that's a little fatter.

My 2005 MIC Casino has a pretty substantial neck.

I had an 2011 50th anniversary that was very thin. I thought it was about as thin as you could go... until I bought a 2019 vintage cherry '61 style. The 2019 was even thinner, per the caliper, because they'd flattened the rear of the neck. It made the '11 feel normal and round.

The Epi Special (set neck version, not to be confused with the "Special" bolt-on line) is modeled after the GIbson Special. The GIbson is definitely a baseball bat. The Epi seems to scale that down a little but it's still hefty.

I recently picked up a 2017 '56 LP Standard Pro and that thing has the thickest neck out of my few guitars ('59 Epi / Eastman SB59/v / Epi SG '61 Elitist / Epi LP Custom Classic Pro), by far. I thought it was a little too thick at first, but now I really like it.
