I do like how he takes them apart and goes over them with inch by inch.
I have to say the one I have is flawless, not a scratch or ding anywhere.

With the jack being on the face does anybody use guitar cable with the 90 at the terminal?
Maybe it would only bother me because it reminds me of how to ruin headphones or phone charging cables by having that constant tension on the cable.

I use a cable with a 90 degree twist on the guitar, if that is what you mean?
I have a 335, so used to it.
I also have a boss wireless system, where the dongle is small that works well.

Yes exactly. I have a cable with a 90 at the end, I use that because my amp has the jack facing up.
I'm itching for an olive casino.
It depends on where you are (bedroom, stadium ...), on the volume of the amplifier, how close the guitar is to the speaker. It is more than a solid body. But this has never been a problem for me.
I gigged with a MIK casino for a couple years in a LOUD rock band lots of small stages. I loved the controlled feedback.
It can be an issue, but it's easy enough to deal with. Turn the gt's volume down or or turn your dist pedals off when you're not playing. problem solved.

I would suggest that it's better (safer) to use a cable with an angled end on any guitar or bass that can accommodate one no matter where the jack is located.

I prefer cables that have a 90° and.... (wait for it).... a straight! 
Just swap end for end.
Seriously though, 90° for front or bottom mount (SG / Doheny / eventual Jag) and straight for the Strat, all looped up over the bottom strap button. If I ever gigged, I'd try to find a Strat jack plate that was nicely finished top and bottom (a good number of the more affordable plates aren't as polished as they could be.) and mount that sucker upside down like I did on my pedalboard. That way, it'd be the 90° end all the time. For now though, it's a minor concern.

Out of curiosity, what don’t you like?
I use a cable with a 90 degree end on the guitar side of things for everything except Strats, like Raiyn said. It makes things easier when I loop it through my strap while gigging. I only played out with my Casino once, but I didn’t have any issues with this method.

I don't care for Trogly in general. After watching a few of his videos he strikes me as kind of an elitist douche.

Wouldn't necessary disagree with you, but I do watch his videos and enjoy the time he spends on taking them apart, and going over them piece by piece.

Ok, one of these is on my list now. I just played one locally. It was already sold and awaiting pickup, but the owner of the store let me take it for a test drive. It was a fantastic guitar!

I am thankfully able to tell you from experience that at least 90% of the time the guitars perceived as expensive, high end guitars are more fun and more rewarding to play. Sure, on paper it may not seem to be worth 4 times the amount of the lower priced model but how do you put a dollar value on fun and rewarding? It's in the small details where most high end guitars really shine. Those small details add up to a more fulfilling experience most of the time. Once in a while Epiphone and other companies will come out with a model that punches way above its weight class. The 1961 reissue Casino was one of those and I heard the Blak and Blu was another one. Both of those guitars are now commanding higher prices used than they did when they were new. It seems now that most of the Inspired By Gibson range are the next round of great Epiphones currently available at moderate prices.
