Here Mr.Soul let me add some fuel to the GAS fire! I just spotted this on Reverb I wants it but I can't has it. Just thought I would post it here and maybe some lucky ( meaning they got money atm) forum member would give it a home. I bet Paruwi already has this model. :)

I was drooling over those when they first came out and if I did not already have a '56 Gold Top w/P90s I would've bought one. But Teles have always been my thing and I sold two that I had for quite awhile in the last year as I began to revise my gear. Teles always sell fast.

Once that was done I swore that if I could find a Baja model for a good price I'd buy it. I've wanted one for years and because this one is local and I can actually play it before buying it's like it was meant to be. It just comes at a somewhat inconvenient time but then what doesn't eh?

I have a few on my list but then my list changes from time to time. I would like to have a Fender Baja Tele before I die. As for Epiphone I'm thinking about a TV Yellow LP Special and a Casino Worn. G&L would yield a Blues Boy Tele and a fretless Kiloton Bass.

But at the moment my attention is turned more towards my amps and finishing up a project of condensing what I own. Mainly selling heavier gear and replacing it with lighter gear.
I just had to resurrect this post in order to share something. The first addition I mentioned was a Baja Telecaster and damned if around a week later one didn't show up locally in mint condition with a great price.

I bought it. You all know that because I posted a photo of it.

The second one I mentioned was a TV Yellow Epi LP Special w/P90s. Guess what showed up a few days ago also in town in like new shape and also asking far less than it's $499 list price. It's like the initial post has turned into some kind of wishing well that produces guitars I like.

Having just bought the Baja I shouldn't be spending more money on another guitar right now but the price is almost too good to pass on. I can't conceive of it ever being worth less than I can buy it for. I'm a sucker for deals like that and I may not be able to discipline myself.

If I buy it I'll post yet another NGD.

Now, if a Casino Worn in Olive Drap shows up someone here needs to lock me and my wallet up in a darkened room without any access at all to FB Marketplace or Craigslist before I have to declare bankruptcy.

May the odds be in your (dis)favour, then ! :D

Enjoy your new guitars! 👌😋
You can't imagine the battle going on in my brain today. My rule of late has been if something new comes in something old must leave. The old helping to finance the new.

The problem is I don't have anything I really want to part with. I'll either have to select something or bite the bullet and just buy it then decide whether I want to sell something or not.:hmm:

It's damn bothersome ya' know. 😕

For the Special, if the price is as good as you say, sell it if it doesn't light you up. If you do lose a bit, see it as a rental. My philosophy is, if I lose $100 on a guitar when I sell it after owning it for a year, I tell myself that it only cost me $0.25 a day to play a great guitar.

Guess which side of my brain won. Yeah, the side with zero willpower.

This lady had one of the most amazing collections of elite Gibson Les Pauls and Heritage models I've ever seen. You can see some in the background of her photo. There were 15-18 in all.

That's the way I saw it as well. She had a very fair price on it and based on that I knew I'd never be underwater on it. That and it's like new condition made it hard to ignore.

I just hadn't planned the cash outlay for two guitars this month. But it's one I wanted and at a great price so that's reason enough to justify it to my conscience.

With no wife or spousal equivalent to justify anything to my conscience is all I have to keep me in line.....😁

I feel your pain as well. I went through a pedal divorce earlier selling some I'd had that were getting little use any longer and were selling for somewhat inflated prices

But there's always something new to try and more often than not enough supply to buy back those I sold if I really wanted to. That's how I decide on what to sell.

How easily can it be replaced and at what cost.

Congratulations @soulman969 !! That's a great looking guitar, you made the right dicision. Enjoy!
Thanks Mimmo. Be hard to tell it from a new one right out of the box. The seller kept it in pristine condition.

Don't know if you caught the other addition or not but last weekend I scored the Baja Tele I wanted and it was also in perfect shape. Both were local buys which is odd since Ft Collins isn't anywhere near as big as Denver. 300,000 or so up here vs 3 million around Denver.

Hard to believe I made a post indicating the Baja and this LP Special were two I'd like to have and within a couple of weeks both show up in like new condition and priced lower than expected based on that.

I hear you loud and clear I've got 12 pedals on my pedalboard and I'm a sucker for new delay pedals I've had them all. My time on the King of Tone list is getting close to four years so I know what my next pedal will be the odds are I will end up selling it. Thats a nice guitar BTW is it a Gibson or Epi and hows it play?
