You've seen them here:

but they're not mine.
They stir the gas bubbles, nonetheless. :naughty:
Just because it says 500 on the pot case doesn't mean that it is 500k. They vary all over the map. Could be as low as 400k. I've only tested pots before installing, I'm not sure how you might test them once they're wired into the guitar - but there could be a way?
It would be well-worth...
Beautiful SGs!
Are you certain that the electronics are exactly the same?
Good chance the volume pots are of significantly different values. The brighter guitar probably has 500k and the darker one may have something like 250k? Could be 250k volume and tone pots in the darker one.

Interesting fact-toid... Epiphone has been making the Les Paul ES since around 1999, IIRC. 19 years!
Gibson only made them for 3 years, I believe, from 2014-2017?
So, there must be a LOT of these Epi Les Paul ES guitars out there. Most of what you see for re-sale on eBay and Reverb are...
I found a lightly used version of the Les Paul ES Pro, and it's being shipped in so I can compare it to the new trans black version.
This one is wine red.
Uh oh.... I think I've developed a bit of a "thing" for these ES Les Pauls.
Gibson doesn't make them any longer. And who...

Pete... I remember you now from MLP. It's been a long time since I spent time there, but how could I forget the face of Sister Keef? ;)
Thanks for the welcome here!
Les Paul ES Pro and the Florentine look pretty much the same, semi-hollow with F-holes, but each is constructed quite differently.
ES Les Paul is built just like the other ES models... top, back and sides are 3-ply maple, joined together and glued, with a center block. The top often has a...
If a 15% discount on new guitars would be enough of a price drop... that wouldn't be hard to arrange with most sellers.
And, there are some very lightly used ones on the market for about 35-40% off new regular price.
These are very appealing to me due to their light weight, good balance, quality build, great Les Paul-ish looks, and playability. The price is great and these can be modded to please!
Over the years, I've had four Gibson Les Pauls and they're all gone now - just too heavy and unbalanced...
