Epiphone SG style hollow body Bass

Sorry, it is ES 335 style. I'm not sure of the origins of this bass. There is a 6 digit serial number on the back of the headstock where it meets the body. No letters, just numbers. How might I get more information about this bass?

There's the original Rivoli from the '60's and then an Asian Epi reissue which had issues - late '90's??
