34f today, but Saturday should be 55 and sunny. The good? I got my Miata running for the first time in over a month. The bad? I'm scheduled to work 9-5 on Saturday.

Friggin' awsome.

We're in the middle of February and we usually have a meter or + of snow on the ground at this time of year. In the past 24h, we got 4cm (1½") of rain and the grass is green with a thin coat of ice on top. Streams are overflowing, ice dams in the rivers, floods here and there. The whole stupid winter has been like that. My local ski resort has yet to see all its trails open. Every snow episode (I won't call them snowfalls) was accompanied, either before or after, by a rain storm.

But nooooo , there's no climate change.

Same time last year.

As much as I hate snow and ice, that's a nice photo Jean. We are in what is usually the hottest part of summer and by now the grass has usually browned off and I get some relief from constantly sitting on machinery cutting the darn stuff. Not so this year, as we've not had extreme heat other than for a few days. My dam usually drops 8 or 9 feet over summer with evaporation and it's been close to full for 4 years now. Something is going on alright.

So a cooler day here with a top forecast of 25c or 80F. Sky is overcast and we may have showers. Hope not as I want to get on the slasher and do the boundaries today as it's growing far too fast.

25C or 80F again today.

Managed to get some slashing done apart from one section of boundary is blocked due to a fallen tree.

It's Saturday so I might leave that job until Monday.

So a cool 24C or 78F on this Sunday morning and it looks like February will go out with a whimper, not a bang!

Currently overcast and no UFO's.

Beautiful today with a high of 60f. Super clear skies and a slight breeze. I pulled my Miata out and spent the day driving up and down the Great River Road

I haven't seen a UFO in years. I would like to again..LOL

I wonder if it's the charm I got from the restaurant on Chinese New Year? Hung it up in the laundry and haven't seen a dragon since. Certainly no UFO's and not one vampire.

Since when did Chinese stuff work so well?

So Summer has been and gone for the time being!

Today is the first day of Autumn here in Oz. We don't call it "Fall" as we only have one deciduous tree, all the others are evergreen.

Strange summer anyway as it's been significantly cooler than usual here where I am. The grass usually browns off and the growth slows during Jan/Feb, but not this year. ATM it's untidy again after only 4 days from the last mow.

Ironically the first day of Autumn heats up and we are expecting 32C or 94F here today.

Where's all the fun in that?

I saw what I would call a UFO in my teen years. Now I would like to see one again. Just cause I want to see if it was a real thing.

33C or 96F here today!

Lost most of yesterday which was a gorgeous day taking Mum to see the specialist, and now I'm gonna lose half of today with my medical appointments! Consolation is I'm gonna drop into the blueberry farm on the way home and get some fresh berries. The difference between berries picked that morning and those from a supermarket is amazing.

The fact that the lady that runs the berry farm is an extremely hot redhead really has little to do with my enthusiasm about going there.....honest~
