After holding out for the price I wanted I pulled the trigger on the Hipshot SuperTone bridge.
This bridge is everything the Gibson /Epiphone isn't. It contacts the body across its full base, not just at the three anchor points. The intonation and height adjustments are easily accessible from the top and behind the bridge without reaching between the strings. The intonation adjustments aren't liable to fall out if the string is not in place and tensioned, and once set the intonation adjustments are set they can be locked.
And with the addition of this I believe I'm done.
