I like the neck, especially the block-inlays

does it come in black ?

Seems to be US made and waaaay more than $2000

The neck on these guitars really plays nicely. Very good action and playability. I like the block inlays too. It’s kind of in between Gibson and Fender design wise. Also, this guitar is US made and does indeed come in black!

They are US built. There's a dual humbucker version with active electronics in black as well Peter. Go ahead.....I double dog dare you. 🤣

This is another of G&L's CLF research models. It came about from a design Leo had long ago but it was never built before now as G&L has resurrected many of the older CLF Research models.

Yeah, the US built CLF Research models are a cut above yet not custom shop. They're not cheap but then none of G&Ls US builds are exactly cheap. The best deals are on B-Stock stuff they list in the G&L Store. Those can sell for anywhere from a 20%-40% discount.

One reason I've always bought the import Tribute models is that like Epi to Gibson you get 80%-90% the same product for 30%-40% of the price. The B-Stock Tributes are an even better deal. My Comanche ran $425 vs a $699 list price and you couldn't even see a tiny paint flaw.
