I think i might have caught the bug.. If i continue buying at this rate i'll have the entire Epiphone line up by the end of next year, but i could not resist.
I wanted a (semi)hollow to add to the family. I was looking for a Casino Coupe but they seem to be sold out just about everywhere i looked. So i went with a 339 instead and maybe the CC will come join the rest in the future.
This beauty came in today. Es-339 in tobacco burst (i refuse to call it the vintage sunburst because it isn't)

I'm really impressed with the new Epi pickups i must say, comparing the probuckers in my LP 60's and the alnico classic pro's in this one to my gibsons (490 in both tributes and burstbucker 3 in BFG) they only seem to lack a little definition in the midrange, other than that they come pretty close. Miles ahead of the pups that came in my vintage G-400.

One thing i did notice, our Chinese buddies could do with some improvement when it comes to putting in screws straight. On both the LP60 and ES339 the screws for the trussrod cover are put in at a slight angle. I must say they are quite consistent at that, all are at the same angle slanting forwards slightly. The strapbutton on the back of the 339 is also slightly off centre. Not a big problem, but could do with some improvement.

2014 EB-0 I bought for my wife, teaching her bass, she's coming along super. She was playing a Squire Bronco bass but I told her the tone and warmth would be better on the EB-0. As with any wife they may not always agree on things, but she did agree on the EB-0.....

That is very cool. I have never had a chance to play one.
I bought my daughter an Epiphone Viola and changed out the strings to tape wound. It sounded wonderful.

Welcome aboard. Glad to have you here! :)

Just finished updating my Casino Coupe. It gets the most play at my house, despite being the least expensive guitar I own. I decided to put some time/money into it - DiMarzio mini humbuckers

Where did you find the pickup rings for the mini humbuckers? Thanks.

1F5CBA5C-CEEA-4D52-81F6-012BEBF85698.jpeg New here. Have been longing for this one for a long long time, but no luck until this January when I suddenly saw one (and then more) pop up: lefty Casino!!
I think they once did a series of them (in 2012?) but before or after that: nothing, until this year.
Plays great, sounds great. Really happy with this one.

Welcome aboard SouthPaul71! That is one beautiful Casino.
Had no idea there were no lefty Casino’s. I thought Macca’s Casino was a lefty.

Nice pair !
Our black guitar aficionado Paruwi will love you.

Thanks BGood.

I know exactly who Paruwi is and his legendary collection of Black MIJ FGN guitars.

He's kinda who inspired me to start up my own collection of Black Epi's.

I don't think I'll ever build up as nice collection of Black Epi's, but I'm going to try. ;)
