Hey folks,

New here, trying to close a deal with a folk selling a 2012 Epi Alpine White Custom Pro for a great price - and the guitar is looking great, to be honest!

However, being fairly new to identifying guitars, I’m not sure if I’m look at the real thing, could I get some help here? I only have videos of the guitar, and I did my best trying to screenshot a few key areas.

The only thing that threw me off a bit was the multi-ply binding of the body, but again, I have a slight idea of what I’m looking for here. Any help would be appreciated!

Hello! I recently purchased an Epi LP Custom Silverburst, but I've become concerned it might be a fake. I'm pretty sure, for example, the truss rod cover is fake (but possibly it's a replacement part as the guitar was pre-owned).
The rest of it looks okay? But I'm discovering I simply don't know enough. What do you think?

Picked up the DOT today. It is an awesome instrument no issues. It dates to 2012 as KrautRocker had said the serial # is inside f-hole. The only thing that looks weird is the neck color it is so much darker than the body. Maybe it's just me?

The color difference is because of the different woods used in the body and neck

Hi Guys, new here. Double checking. just purchased this epi explorer. Foolishly just realised that 12th fret inlays were misplaced. so the dot markers were correct but the inlays are on the 11th fret instead of the 12. Also the Cavity for the wiring is suspiciously different from all the other explorers ive seen online. Would greatly appreciate assistance in determining whether or not this is a fake

Serial number is EE080906691 if that makes a difference

If the EE fonts are bigger than the following digit ... you got yourself a fake.

Can we see that ?

Here's the picture of the back of the headstock. Not entirely sure if it's a different size.
