No need for the serial, it is perfectly legit.hello, is this LP custom already? I want to buy it and I'm still waiting for a photo of the serial number
Dave says he bought a fake. But the guitar is good. )
I think grinwer meant that Dave found it a good guitar nevertheless.Dave is right - is is a Fake
2:18
you can see two signs of Fake rounded studs and location of the screw on the pickguard

you can see sign #3 wide bodybinding on the top of the guitar and on the headstock
the serial number on the label inside the left sound hole 311763155 comes up not found.
the original serial number on the tag 11061357 comes up as a 1991 Korean made guitar.
I wonder what the story is with that?
Hey, guys, this is my first post over here. I'm considering buying an used Epiphone Les Paul and found a few options that are in good condition, some barely used. I've read a ton about fakes and asked around in another forum, but I'd like to make sure before I make the buy.
The model in question is an Epi Les Paul Standard made in Indonesia. It looks legit to my barely trained eye BUT the two things I could nitpick on is 1) the truss rod cover font, "STANDARD" seems to be in bold (although I looked for other pictures of MI Indonesia and some look the same); 2) the shape of the shield near the single cut of the body.
If you guys could help me out it would be awesome, thanks in advance.
I did, thank you.I think you had a perfectly detailed answer on that another forum.
