What Epi guitar is 'on top' of your 'must have list'

I have the two I really wanted. The dark 59 and the olive Casino.

I would like an LP Koa, but not something that I would buy soon. I like Hawaiian stuff and tiki and all that so whenever I see one it grabs my attention.

I would like an LP Special with P90s. Might buy one. It would be nice to have a cheaper guitar to take to my friends house.

I also have the itch for an SG worn in green. I need to play another SG to be sure though. Maybe next Spring of I do get one.

The dangerous thing is hanging around here and learning about other models. Getting a Casino made me interested in the Riviera and the Sheraton. Getting a 59 made me like a lot of LP guitars. I've seem some particularly cool ones from Japan with very open wood grain patterns, I like them quite a bit.

Why not get the SG with the P90's and kill two birds with one stone?

SG worn has P90s. Part of why I'm intrigued with it. I'd like to hear P90s on a solid guitar.

They're outstanding. Think Carlos Santana at Woodstock, Black Magic woman. That was an SG with P90's. I haven't played the latest Epi P90's, but if they're like the ones they were producing ten years ago, that's the sound.

I've been thinking about the '55 Reissue forever. Would love to hear from someone who has had one for a while and can fill me in. How's the neck ? What are the pu's like ?

I bit the hook on an underdog I've wanted for a while, particularly from seeing @BGood talk about his.

Just ordered up an LP Special with P90s for $149 in TV yellow. I'm curious to see if it comes in as the thin stain version or the thickly solid (looks more like paint) version. From reading around and watching videos it seems there are strong variations in the finish. I'm hoping for the thin style. If it's really good I'll be ordering the SG worn with P90s in the Spring and then I'm done... I think... maybe.

Didn't know they were still available as new. Great ! I think the recent version has a thin finish like the SG Worn, with open grain showing.

They are on back order but still available. The red color seems to be discontinued or hard to find now, which doesn't bother me. Yellow and black are still around.

I don't have a "must have" Epi, but if I were given the money and the mandate to buy one, I would get my Beatles on with a Viola Bass (I've never owned a bass).

I played one for a little while a lonnng time ago. If I remember well, it is a funny instrument to play/hold. It's like playing a broom.

Long, long ago I played a Hofner-clone bass (long before Epi made one; don't recall the brand). The heel strap button was gone, so the owner tied the strap at the nut like an acoustic. I'd start a song with it hanging at 2:00; within a couple bars the body would be over my magic parts & the A tuner would be in my left ear.

I'm curious what the neck is like when you get it... '61/2 style super thin; common medium Epi; or baseball bat a la current Gibson LP Specials.
