Aye, you've got that right. Been wanting to try it for a long time, never had the chance. I saw some pictures of people découpaging guitars on Pinterest and got inspired.. Thanks!

Working on the new finish.. Chose a completely different approach, a mix of Tarzan comics on the front, Tex Willer on the sides and there's going to be some Superman comics on the back.

Ever play an Epiphone that was better than Gibson?

Yes, my Czech Standard feels and plays better than any Gibson Standard I've tried.

I'm thinking of making a bone nut.. Those TUSQ ones are good though.

Yeah it's a nice touch. Honestly, they seem to have pretty much everything figured out with this guitar. Only thing I don't like, is the plastic nut which is about to be changed. And the diamond inlay on the volume knob. It's all solid Mahogany under that pickguard, which is why I believe this...

Aye, I thought so as well. Never even heard of the model or brand until yesterday as well. I've had a day off today, played this guitar a bunch and it actually plays great. Low action with just a little buzz. Need to level the 12th fret and it should be all fine.

Alrighty, new project time!!! Picked this old JTR Linda LN10 in great shape up from the Facebook market for about $80. The guy insisted on including a Laney LG12, a Fender strap and a Capo. Apperently the guitar is Samick made and the JTR brand supposedly designed by the former head of Gibson's...

    Korean Epiphone SG

Alrighty, so earlier I stumbled across this dude in a Swedish facebook Epiphone group that wanted to know what kind of model SG he had. It's a little different, with the block inlays starting from the first fret and with pearl scratchplate/truss-rod cover. I can't find any models matching it...

Pretty much spot on, 0047 cap at the #3 position(which I freaking love btw). Pretty versatile wiring for a guitar with only 1 pickup.

Good question! I currently have it wired like this: Thanks man, loving it right now.. Yeah you should, they're great guitars!

    New guitar day

Hey! Stumbled across this piece down in the local music shop. A HPD Esquire.. Couldn't resist. So, it's a neck from a "BaCH" Tele, plays pretty good, some sharp fret ends, no buzz. No-name solid alder body. Wilkinson bridge. CTS potentiometers with a CRL switch(Esquire wiring) and a Don Mare...

The GAS just hit me.. With 2 alternatives

Got the guitar earlier today. Unboxed it, unfortunately the setup was a disaster. Had to lower the action and adjust the truss-rod plenty. First impressions when playing the guitar properly set up.. It pretty much plays itself, fast neck, nicely polished frets with rounded fret ends. Absolutely...
