    One piece of advice Ive seen is to put a strip of scotch tape over the poles before applying the silicon - this means if you want to take them off again you haven't got to deal with the silicon getting in the gaps in the bobbin etc.

    Fix her! My Son's Epi LP has had the headstock reattached twice (once knocked over by his Mum, once when the strap broke on stage!) cost £65 for fix and repaint and it's as good as new!

    In Englamd we call Feet and Inches "Imperial" not "English... Oddly we use metric for pretty much everything these days except measuring ourselves! (We measure the height of people in Feet and inches and our weight in Stones and pounds)

    A bt of googling and it seems no one is 100% certain - some say it's the particular nitro out gassing, some it's the glue used... One said they asked a Gibson salesman who told him that they actually add scent to the glue used to stick the fur down with!
