I just got a cheap SG Special in a trade and I would like to install strap locks on the guitar. The front button is on the neck plate, and I was wondering if its possible to install Schaller strap locks on it, since it uses the neck plate screw to hold the button on.I have search the web and...
Can you delete my account? I don't have an epiphone guitar anymore and would like to leave the forums. I have looked and cant find a way to delete my account.
Thanks,
Ya, I am not a fan of the SG or Les Paul guitars. It has to be a shedding machine. I have seen the vintage Epiphones with Floyd rose trems and locking nuts, those I could do.
This is a good forum, most forums nobody answers your questions. I was on the Kramer forums for years and asked questions and people would not respond, I mean there would be like 200 views on the thread and no comments or answers.
I think I might be selling this SG tomorrow. I really didn't like the way it played, I mean it sounded good, but not really into the body style since I have been using super strat guitars the past 28 years, and I really don't want to sink another $200 into upgrades for it.
I have 2 NEC Japan Mylar .022uF 50V Tone Pot Chicklet Capacitor NOS. These are Vintage New Old Stock. I bought 2 for my Epiphone SG G-400. I bought 2 and the seller sent me 4, so I have 2 up for grabs. Pay shipping and they are yours.:dude:
I am from Canada so the case would cost me more then $59 probably close to $100 and then tax and shipping, doesn't seem like a deal to me, It will probably be close to $200 when its totaled up. its not the neck that is the problem its the body not laying flat on the bottom of the case, since...
Thanks for the reply, I was thinking of either removing the neck rest and cutting it to make it shorter and removing the storage area, or removing it all. I want to keep the case, I see no point of spending $150 bucks on a SG style case as I think that would be a waste of money since I already...
I just wanted to ask here in the forums if anyone here uses a normal rectangle case for their Les Pauls or SG's and if they had problems with the guitar fitting properly. I have a case and the guitar wont lye down flat because the neck support and storage compartment are to high. I really don't...
Just the angle of the neck to body had me worried. I noticed when I was playing it the other night. So the hardware on mine then must be chrome then since it was made in 1998. Thanks for the info on how to tell chrome vs nickel. I figured it was chrome.
Wow. Thanks everyone who posted. I still don't know if I should upgrade my SG G-400. With pots, jack, switch and caps, wiring it would be close to $150 for that stuff, not sure about investing that much cash on upgrades.
I wanted to start a thread to see what people upgrade their Epiphone guitars. Do you upgrade parts, or leave it stock? If you upgrade you epiphone guitar it would be nice to hear what parts you upgrade to, and if still stock would like to hear as well.
Cheers!:dude:
