About 15 years ago, I went into the local Starbucks, and happily saw the Guatemalan was the not burnt brew of the day. Got my cup, and returned to the car (never did the drive thru). Backed out, took a swig, circled the building, and went back in. Asked have you started roasting everything dark and burnt? Guy said yes, sorry. I’ve never been back.

If I'm feeling lazy, I'll do Dunkin', but if I make it at home I'll get some Espresso from my local Italian market, grind the beans and use my little Moka pot.

Good to get some opinions there fellas, thank you.

I’d kill for a double short black (espresso) but sadly it doesn’t like me and causes problems.

Can you imagine getting up each morning knowing that’s as good as you are going to feel for the rest of the day?

I’m not sure interstate rivalry has a place in this Stu.
But we are the ‘Jedi Knights’ of that age old tradition Dig Vader

BBQ Salmon & Chips with Steamed Asparagus & Lime Aioli for dinner tonight... which left me a couple of BBQ fillets to place atop some pre-prepared Fried Rice with Sweet & Sour Sauce for my aging in-laws (Note: I was called a ‘good boy’ for serving this up previously :D)

Quick & easy Sausages, eggs & chips last night with fresh bread & butter.

It was yummy!

Lunch today will be a sausage sandwich toasted, with tomato sauce of course!

Umm, burgers? That’s what we had. I hope someone got something for that poor woman on the right.

That’s no woman... They are The Burghers of Calais (Rodin)... &, by your outburst, I thought they must have paid you an unexpected visit

You could describe my taste in food as pretty pedestrian, certainly not much of a gourmet, however simple meals like this float my boat.

This I describe as veggie stew and the fact there is a lamb chop in it is irrelevant. There are 8 or more veggies in this and as usual Gael’s flavours are amazing. A bit of fresh bread and butter and dive in!

Best part is that tomorrow there’s plenty for lunch.

That’s proper ‘chef’s food’ right there :yesway:

Tonight was your classic Steak, Chips & Peas night... but Mrs Eggs called for a sauce, so a quick Diane was provided...

^^^ I wish the beeartch hadn’t over-reduced my sauce so much ^^^

Moving on, I got a bit smarter preparing the much loved Chicken & Veggie Pie for the in-laws this week...

Using a whole BBQ Chicken I made enough filling for three pies, which means I just have to thaw a perfectly portioned bag of filling & top it with a sheet of puff pastry on the next two outings...

... & this chook, to be roasted in Garlic, Thyme, Oregano, Lemon & Wine, is for my family on the cold & damp Sydney night that we are heading into... Thanks to @Supersonic for that recent inspiration :h5:
